Pizarras Campo SL producing Galician Campo Blue/Grey natural roofing slates

The Campo slate is quarried at Cuina in the region of Ortigueira (La Coruna), North West Spain. This is one of the largest quarrying groups in Spain and has the facility to produce slates in the popular large size 24" x 12". The slates are mid-shade blue/grey in appearance (similar to Ffestiniog blue/grey) and are 4mm - 5mm or 5mm - 6mm in thickness with a slight textured surface.

Pizarras Franvisa SL producing Franvisa Dark Blue/Grey (or Blue/Black) natural roofing slates

The Franvisa slate is quarried at El Picon in the region of Leon, north west Spain. It is very hard and is produced in two thicknesses - Best 5mm - 7mm and Heavies 6mm - 8mm - with a rugged texture which is especially popular where an obvious textured slate look is required.

Pizarras Benuza slate is quarried at Ponferrada in the region of Leon, north west Spain. The slate is hard and produced in 6mm - 7mm nominal thickness, with a longitudinal textured grain.
